Get accurate measurements, we recommend you re-check your size with every purchase..

For most of our styles, the most important measurement is your hip size to get the right fit. It is also useful to check your waist measurement for certain styles. Please take a look at the product description for a guide.

If you're in between sizes, we suggest sizing up (e.g. from a size 10 to 12) for ultimate comfort.

1. Place Your Feet Together

Having your feet apart can give a measurement that is actually larger than your hip area.

2. Waist

Your natural waist measurement should be taken at the narrowest part of your torso. This is where your body curves in and is often at or above your belly button.

3. Hip

Your hip measurements should be taken at the fullest part of your hips.

Where Period Undies Leak First

Where Period Undies Leak First

(And Why Changing More Often Doesn’t Help)

10:30 a.m. Finally fresh again. Back to browsing "my shops" in the mall.

11:10 a.m. And then, that feeling.

Is it another...

Gosh.

I casually slow down, turn towards The Body Shop window and gently pelvic floor squeeze for a risk assessment… aaand relax.

NOooo!

We literally went to the bathroom forty minutes ago.

(I swear it felt like five)

Do not panic.

Mantra to repeat: 'Calm body… we’re fine… calm body.'

Casually shift tote bag behind bottom, find self constantly side-glancing at the glass reflection.

Looks a bit awkward. I can't walk around like this.

Why? Why am I layering pads inside my period undies anyway?

V. much annoyed. Which bathroom is closer?

Walking past Zara like someone not in a real hurry.

Oh, why am I so unattractive?

Controlled walk increases speed.

Past hiking shop. On Sale Now! Of course. There's thick puffy raincoats. Weather-proof.

Wait.

"Do astronauts change as often?"

...or is zero gravity their magic solution?

For surely NASA has a department for this.

This is ridiculous.

Another gush lands.

There it is.

Grrr. I hate gravity.

...

Oh for God's sake.

11:15 a.m. Arrive at bathroom.

Right. If something’s failing… it isn’t us.

Where the Usual Period Undie Design Leaks

Most brands knock-off the same original template — and the same original flaw.

Here's how most period undies almost work:

Layer 1 — Top Transfer Layer

Soft knit fabric that wicks fluid downward.

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ⬇

Layer 2 — Absorbent Centre

Thick absorbent material (usually synthetic).

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ⬇

Layer 3 — Waterproof Lining

A thin liner meant to stop leaks.

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ⬇

Outer Fabric

The bit you see (meant to stay dry).

Individually, these layers are fine.
Together?
They share one major weak link.

The Wet Link: The Stitching

Every layer above is stitched together — and that stitching becomes the escape route.

Thread doesn’t just hold layers together.
It _connects_ them.

(Starting to see the problem?)

And it wicks moisture like tiny little blood-vessel highways.

So once the inner layers become wet enough, moisture gradually travels:

🩸
 along the thread
🩸
 into the seams
🩸
 and eventually… onto the outside

Once one layer gets soggy, there's no way to stop the mess from spreading.

When you’re seated.
Pressure is applied.
And guess what?

Stains on:
pants, car seat,  friend’s couch, and...

jumper-tied-around-waist situations.

This isn’t wearer error.
This is design error.

The Thigh-Gap Trap (Why Side Leaks Happen So Fast)

What if you’re not sitting much?
So you're on your feet, moving around.

Well, there's the...
thigh-gap trap.

Here’s why:

  1. Every soggy layer is stitched to the thread
  2. The thread is stitched to the leg elastic
  3. The leg elastic sits tight against your inner thighs
  4. Your thigh-gap is the narrowest part of the entire gusset
  5. Less fabric + shorter distance + movement
  6. Add gravity

→ 🌊 fluid finds the fastest escape path

Why They Work on Light Days But Fail on Heavy Ones

The OG period undie design is good enough for:

  • light days
  • spotting
  • mid-cycle discharge

But not for:

  • Day 1–2 gush moments
  • overnight pressure
  • sitting for long periods
  • heavier flows
  • long wear times

Those original designs?

Yeah… it’s kind of flawed, if we’re being honest.

We Thought the Same Thing You Did…

We've all had workarounds:

“Okay, lighter days sorted.
Day 1 and 2… back to backup pads."

Every workaround quietly tells the industry:
“This is good enough.”

And when enough people adapt, brands don’t have to.

So the same dam keeps breaking —
and we keep blaming the flood on ourselves.

That's the real backfire.

Not unexpected periods.
Not using backup pads with period underwear.

But accepting a design that makes leaks feel inevitable.

That’s how the entire industry ended up copying the same flawed template.

Once you see that, the question shifts from:

“How do I cope better?”

to... “Why am I settling for this at all?”

This realisation (and the unwanted chemicals, see PS below) pushed us to stop accepting the norm... and started re-designing from the bottom up.

This Is Why Pee Chee Cheex Exists

We didn’t want a slightly better version of the same flawed design.

We wanted something that:

  • stops leaks everywhere
  • prevents stitching from becoming a leaking highway
  • protects the thigh-gap
  • feels soft and cool
  • uses no added chemicals
  • doesn't smell funky after 50 to 100 washes
  • absorbs 12+ tampons’ worth
  • is protected by patents
  • works on DAY ONE — not just day four

57 prototypes later, we nailed it.

If You’ve Ever Thought “Maybe It’s Me…

It’s not you.
It was the flawed design.
And it’s been letting us down for years.

And while we were fixing that… we noticed something else most people never hear about.

A lot of us rely on extra backup pads on heavy days. But disposable pads and tampons come with their own underlying issues too — including some surprising findings that keep showing up in studies, even in 2024.

Let’s just say it’s not something big brands talk about… buuut it keeps showing up in the studies.

(We did the research... and made a simple, easy-to-read summary you can look at anytime.)

Finally — a pair that works how you always hoped period undies would.

Pee Chee Cheex. Leakproof reinvented from the bottom up.

With care,

 💛

The Pee Chee Cheex Team

PS:
Ever wondered what happens when a heavy-flow day turns into a full-blown... situation down there? We ran a proper flood test — two hours of relentless liquid drama — squished it into a tidy little 20-second time-lapse.

👉 Can your period care handle this much flow?
(Go on, we dare you. It’s oddly hypnotic—like reality TV drama.)
